ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND will run for the third year in a row, once again featuring sixteen teams from the Asia-Pacific region at the $100,000 offline finals.

According to the Weibo announcement, the Asian finals will take place in Shanghai, China on October 18-21. In addition, the number of participating countries and regions have increased from 18 to 24 this year.

Flash won last year's tournament over Eclipse, which had three Chinese squads at the event. However, the organizer has decided to remove one of their slots this time, reducing the Chinese division to two spots.

The other countries/regions will continue to have one representative at the finals, along with the introduction of Turkey as a first-time participant for the 2018 edition, which would increase the level of competition if Space Soldiers qualified.
